I have always experienced an overpowering sense of well being from listening to my favorite music.  The feeling I get when I play music is even more ecstatic.  Binding the feelings I get from listening and playing music, I am inspired to continue developing my musicianship, and contribute the sound of music towards anyone who will listen. 

The kind of music that I love to listen to, play, and compose comes from many sources. The combination of melody, rhythm, and harmony that produces different sounding music has been a continual inspiration to me as a listener, player, and composer.

I'll be recording my debut album this summer (finally!)

I'll be featuring my band (The Scott Kemp Collective) at The Rex for 3 Tuesdays in the month of June.

I've been busy in the studio with Elizabeth Shepherd. The album should be released before the end of 2009.

I've got a newer Scott Kemp Collective track posted in the music section with an organ trio.

Check out the streaming CBC-2 Concert On Demand Series that the Elizabeth Shepherd Trio recorded live in June. It was part of the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival 08'.
